Singers Wanted!

Colla Voce is looking for talented singers in all sections.  Auditions are ongoing!

Join a fun bunch of guys as we sing to raise awareness and funds for our community.

Our next concert is a Benefit Concert for The Family Link on May 24, 2012.  Rehearsals have begun, but new singers are still welcome. Colla Voce will also be performing at the GALA festival in July in Denver, CO.

Check us out! See the Membership page for details.

“Colla voce” is an Italian music direction meaning “following the voice.” It signifies from whom the other instruments take their cues.

Colla Voce is a proud member of GALA Choruses (Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses).

"Pride Together!"  SF Pride Concert with Synergy

7 pm on Tuesday, June 28, 2011

Thanks to everyone who made this joint concert a success!!  Besides our audience (ALWAYS!), we particularly want to thank Stephen Smith and the men of Synergy for visiting our fair city and adding their incredible voices and energies to Colla Voce's own Pride celebrations!

Special accollades are also due to Dan Rivard, without whom this concert would have never happened and because of him, it was so successful on so many levels.   Thank you, Dan!

Two years ago, Colla Voce traveled up north to share in Vancouver's Pride celebrations Synergy, the acapella ensemble of the Vancouver Men's Chorus.

This year, Synergy returned the favor and coming to San Francisco for our Pride celebrations.

This concert was held at Old First Presbyterian Church (1751 Sacramento Street @ Van Ness Avenue).

Thanks for giving Synergy a proper SF welcome!   Click here for the concert poster!

Synergy performed a varied repertoire, ranging from 19th-century choral gems in Czech to Broadway anthems by Sondheim – with some Billy Joel and Glee thrown in for good measure!  To learn more about Synergy, Click here to visit their website,

Colla Voce also performed a varied repertoire of music, with music by such great choral composers as Steven Sondheim (of course!), David Conte, Robert Seeley, Eric Lane Barnes and others!   It was a Pride concert, so of course we had a gay ol' time!
Thanks again to everyone who joined us -- and showed our brothers from up North our San Francisco hospitality -- and pride!!
